The creation of this series started with an exchange with Nick and Sina Honeyman of Le Petit Léon. Three things stood out in bold: the generosity and creativity of their work, the focus on offering something meaningful, and the very rooted, place-based nature of their work that respects the history and seasons of the Vézère Valley.
This parallel between their work and the river's role supporting the generations of humans that find ourselves here is the seed for this series. This painting in particular captures the feeling of being supported so we can flourish and grow.
