This gentle nature sketch captures a late season Virginia creeper vine. Though technically invasive, we’ve grown used to it as a highlight of autumn‘s colors in the region. A shiver of uncertainty and a glimmer of hope.
I make each drawing in a single line without lifting the pen—whatever comes out is a glimpse of the truth of that moment and a reminder that every moment of our lives has its own beauty if we just lean into it instead of trying to control everything.
